Do I need previous kayaking experience?

No, all levels are welcomed in our tours, even if it is your first time. The guide will always be with you at all times to help when necessary. Also, all tours start with a briefing on safety & paddling techniques to make sure everyone understands everything before heading to the water.

What is included in the tour?

All equipment (a single kayak, paddle and life-jacket), a guide and pictures of the experience.

How long are the tours and how is time organised?

All tours are 2h long. It starts with 30min of briefing to explain the basics of security and kayaking. After that we will go straight to the water. Please arrive at least 10min earlier to make sure that the tour starts punctually.

What if it's raining or windy?

Weather at Sydney harbour is difficult to predict. If the tour gets cancelled, you will receive an email the previous day. However, sometimes the weather changes unexpectedly and it could be cancelled right before the start of the trip. In all these cases, you can decide between a credit, an alternative date or a 100% refund.

Are all kayaks individual?

Yes. All kayaks are individual, we do not have double kayaks. However, they are perfect for all levels (beginners and experienced), as they are very stable and easy to use. If you are afraid of getting tired, don't worry, our guide will tow you behind his kayak to give you a break.

Is there a minimum age?

At the moment we only offer our tours for +18.

What is the maximum group size?

6 people + 1 guide.

Are there height and weight restrictions?

Yes, our kayaks are designed for a max. weight of 110kg/240 lb. And, if you’re taller than 2m/6.5 ft please contact us and we will arrange something for you.

What is the location and route of my trip?

The meeting point is in Lavender Bay boat ramp and you can find the route on the description of your trip. However, take into account that the route will always depend on the weather, group and other conditions.

What do I need to bring?

For clothes, wear something you don’t mind getting wet, such as shorts, leggings, rash vest, comfy gym clothes and/or swimsuit. Also, you will need sunscreen, water, a hat, sunglasses and thongs/flip flops (or water shoes if you have them).

Can I cancel my tour?

Do I need to book online?

Yes. All bookings and payments are made through our website and you will receive your confirmation of booking via email.

Is there parking?

Lavender Bay has free parking for up to 2 hours on Lavender Crescent and there is usually plenty of parking in the morning. Additional parking can be found on surrounding streets as well. However, during the high season the easiest way is taking public transport to Milsons Point or North Sydney station.

Do you take private bookings?
